It's that time of year again--- Blackfoot Fair!!

Well we're under way with the Blackfoot Fair and it was a really fun long weekend!! Fun family times! Chad & Courtney with Kayson and Ella came up for the weekend. So, along with them, Gina, Kyle, Cate, Landon, Jocelyn, Blake, Lynn and I all headed to Blackfoot. We also had Jake and Grandpa Dean with us. (It takes many hands to get the work done) Plus, we wanted to walk the fair since we only had 2 Jerseys there and they didn't require as much attention.

We ate icecream, teriaki chicken, drumsticks, prime rib sandwiches, funnel cakes, tortatoes, mini scones, corndogs etc!!!! The Blackfoot Fair has the absolute BEST food! And this is just the first day! It was sooo hot!

Then we came home, pick corn on the cob and the next day canned/froze" corn. It seems to always come on during fair time, which adds to the craziness of the week. Then, on Monday we went back to the Fair and froze!~It rained and kept us from doing much walking. But it was show day for the Jerseys anyway. WE did well but, unfortunately, no one liked the judge. He made many mistakes with the classes. We weren't the only ones with complaints tho. He couldn't seem to keep the cows straight as to their placings. Oh well, every judge has his own tastes and reasons for what they do. It was fun anyway.
Course the grandkids were great--they're just like their parents. My kids loved running around the fair. They knew every nook and cranny of the fair grounds. Sadly we did have one little incident with the little boys; Landon and Kayson. They were throwing rocks and Landon accidently hit dead on Kayson just under his eye. Within minutes it was swollen and then the cool colors of any black eye started to show. He was so sad and Landon felt so bad. But hey---Kayson has some great pictures and terrific story to tell when he gets older.
It was really fun to have Blake home this year to help at the fairs. Lynn has really enjoyed having him around to visit and work with. So have the little kids--they love their uncles!!

Here are some more pics from the fair:

After the fair we came home and played on the 4 wheeler and out in the yard It was a great long weekend and we really missed Janelle and Ryan and of course Blaine! We love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!! TaTa for now.......
